Quando i restauri hanno la lista d'attesa

Nel 2002 era un giovane promessa, oggi è una piacevole conferma. Il Cantiere Aghemio di Stresa, sulla sponda occidentale del lago Maggiore, fondato dal 39enne Marco Aghemio, è pieno di lavoro. Nei 700 metri quadrati del cantiere quasi non c'è più posto per accogliere nuovi scafi in legno da sottoporre a restauro. Tra i lavori in fasi avanzate, quelli sul vaporino Ancilla ormai prossimo alla consegna. Su questa imbarcazione, costruita dal cantiere Taroni nel 1922, Aghemio ha ricostruito le murate in doppio fasciame di mogano, le ordinate, il fondo e la cabina. Verranno invece consegnati la prossima primavera Appia del Mare, un piccolo runabout San Marco, e Serena, il Riva Ariston n.556 del 1963, motorizzato Chris Craft 283, sul quale sono stati rifatti la coperta, i trincarini e la verniciatura integrale. Tempi più lunghi, quasi due anni di lavoro, per Grace, il Riva Ariston n.421 del 1962, oggi di un armatore americano. Tra gli interventi previsti, il rifacimente delle murate in triplo fasciame di mogano, fornito dalla Magnino Legnami, quello del fondo, dei trincarini, della coperta filettata in acero, del cruscotto e del sedile. Verrà revisionato anche il motore Chrysler Sea V M80. Interventi quasi analoghi sul Riva Ariston n.579 Magda del 1964. In questo caso il motore montato è un Chris Craft 283. Tempi di lavorazione più brevi, infine, per il Riva Florida n. 606 Zep del 1963, sul quale verranno rifatti il fondo e la verniciatura, e per il Riva Super Florida n. 614 Ivana del 1962. Gli interventi si concluderanno per entrambi entro la secondo metà del 2009. Accanto a tanti scafi a motore non potevano mancare due interventi su barche a vela. Il primo è su un Dinghy 12 piedi, il n. 26, costruito alla fine degli Anni 40 dal cantiere Leopoldo Colombo del lago di Como e oggi di proprietà del presidente della Riva Historical Society Piero Maria Gibellini. Il secondo interessa la ricostruzione della testa d'albero e del timone del Dragone Nathaly. Molto lavoro, dunque, per Marco Aghemio, senza contare che nei prossimi mesi verranno sottoposti a restauro il Riva Ariston n. 41, il Riva Junior n. 80 e i Riva Super Florida n. 227 e n. 394.
